In 2019 a total of 3,519 pounds of cans were recycled and so far in 2020 a total of 2,620 pounds of cans have been recycled.

JUDA — The youth group members of the Juda Zion and Oakey Union United Methodist Churches continue to collect aluminum cans for various projects and missions.

The proceeds for January and February were donated to the Fairbanks Alaska Rescue Mission and proceeds for March and April were given to the Stained Glass Window Repair Fund at Juda-Zion.  Proceeds for April and May have been designated to purchase items for Ingathering Kits to be assembled by the youth.

Bagged cans can be placed in the collection cage at the corner of the Sugar River Bank of Bank parking lot on Walnut Street in Juda. Through the end of April, over 1,800 pounds of cans have been recycled. Only bag aluminum cans — no aluminum foil, aluminum pie tins or empty cat food cans.
