MONROE — The Green County Special Olympics will be sponsoring their annual breakfast from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17 at the Moose Lodge, 639 3rd Ave. 

They have 37 active athletes who participate in bowling, basketball skills and track and field. They also enjoy being in parades and special events. Volunteers are also involved with coaching, fundraising and chaperoning activities.

Proceeds from the breakfast will go towards the local Green County athletes.
