MONROE — The Green County Historical Museum, located at 1617 9th Street in Monroe, will host alongside the Courthaus Quilters an event called The Airing of the Quilts from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13. Admission is free.

Join the Courthaus Quilters as they ‘air out’ some of the museum quilts as well as quilts from their own collections. The two organizations will be featuring ‘Signature Quilts’, including one from the 1860s. Weather permitting, quilts will be aired on the museum lawn. The lower level of the museum and school will be open for viewing and halve quilts displayed inside.
