MONROE - The Youth Services Department of the Monroe Public Library -will host a St. Patrick's Day program of crafts and stories from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 17 at the Monroe Public Library, 925 16th Ave.
Participants will have the opportunity to make a variety of crafts and hear leprechaun stories with Kris Ault, youth services coordinator, at 11 a.m.
The Library VolunTEENs and Molly Wyss, Monroe Dairy Queen, will assist young crafters as they create leprechaun puppets, shamrock gardens, hands-around-the-rainbow charms, and Luck O' the Irish bowties. Materials to make shamrock crowns will be available in the Youth Services Department of the library from noon to 2 p.m., prior to Monroe's Saint Patrick's Day parade which begins at 3:17 p.m.
The program is free and no registration is required.
