LENA/WINSLOW - Lena-Winslow High School will present the musical "Little Women" at 7:30 p.m. March 27 and 28 in the Lena-Winslow Fine Arts Center auditorium.

The musical is based on Louisa May Alcott's classic novel about the four March sisters. The girls, along with their mother, live in Concord, Massachusetts, while their father is serving in the Union Army. The story is full of the exploits of the brassy aspiring writer, Jo, who is played by senior Bailey Graf. She is joined on stage with her three sisters: Romantic Meg, played by junior Rachael Wybourn; kind-hearted Beth, played by junior Kenzie Chapman; and the spoiled youngest sister Amy, played by senior Kadie Cross.

Marmee March, the girls' loving mother is played by senior Sarah McCarthy; Laurie, the boy-next-door, is played by sophomore Colton Brinker; and his strict grandfather is played by junior Adam Guy. John Jurkovic, a freshman, is the love of Meg's life. The March's wealthy aunt is played by senior Sophia Jurkovic.

The actors are joined on stage by a chorus of trolls and hags. Accompanied by a pit orchestra, the cast will share a touching family story about life during the difficult times of the Civil War.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and will be available at the door the nights of the performance.
