Land management workshop is on March 3

DODGEVILLE - The Land Management Workshop, a workshop focusing on land management in southwest Wisconsin, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at the Iowa County Health and Human Services building, 303 W. Chapel St.

The workshop is $10, which includes workshop materials and refreshments, and sign-up must be done before Friday, Feb. 17. Registration and refreshments will start at 8:30 a.m., with an opening introduction at 9 a.m. There are three concurrent sessions that will run about one hour each.

Session topics include: Prescribed Fire; Introduction to Prairie and Grassland Birds; Reading the Driftless Area: A handbook for landowners; Invasive Plants; Woody and Grass Biomass Prospects for Landowners; and Advanced Land Management.
