VERONA - The Green County Humane Society will hold "Woofstock 2017" from 1 to 6 p.m. June 18 at the Wisconsin Brewing Company at the junction of County PB and American Way in Verona.

Music will be provided by The Jimmys and The Chris O'Leary Band.

Pets are welcome. Dress up in '70s style to strut your mutt or compete in best-dressed and look-alike contests.

Themed baskets, gift certificates and high-dollar prizes donated by local businesses will be available for $1. There also will be a doggy art show: Vote on a favorite for first prize or bid on a piece to take home.

Food available will include OSS's creative brat combos, SoHo's vegan and dumpling dishes, Kona's shaved ice, Looking Glass Bakery's goodies and Wisconsin Brewing Company's cool brews on tap.

There is a $5 suggested entry donation for individuals or groups. Proceeds will help the homeless pets at the Green County Humane Society. The first 1,000 people will get a "doggy bag" full of freebies, while supplies last.
