MONROE - Monroe Clinic's Parish Nurse Program will partner with parish nurses Lori Vogel and Mary Kay Zemlicka to hold a Parish Nurse Health Fair from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 28, at Hope Evangelical Free Church, 2902 13th St., Monroe. All community members are invited to attend. The event is free and registration is not required. Donations will be accepted.
Dozens of community organizations will offer helpful information to participants on health and wellness including:
. Free blood sugar and cholesterol screening (Attendees should fast for at least eight hours before the blood sugar test.)
. Free seated massages and acupuncture demonstrations
. Free bone-density screenings
. CCR or continuous chest compression cardiopulmonary resuscitation demonstration
.Healthy snacks for kids demonstration
. Back to School immunizations
. Safety In and Around Cars demonstration
