GCGS to present ‘Who we are and What we Do’ by Ruth Anderson
Monroe Library

MONROE — The Green County Genealogical Society (GCGS) will hold its July 13 meeting at 10 a.m. at Monroe Public Library’s second floor  meeting room. There will be a presentation by Ruth Anderson titled “Who we are and What we Do.”

The program explores the process of the Rock County Genealogical Society (RCGS) when receiving requests for information. Anderson will share the indexes and/or records held by RCGS, the Milton Historical Society, or records found online. Learn the process used after pulling records for creating the client report. The reports usually include a summary of records found and how each record tells a story. Most reports are sent to clients via electronic format.

As a member of numerous heritage societies, she has completed personal applications for over 60 ancestors. Retired RCHS Archives Manager, she has volunteered for the Rock County Genealogical Society for over 20 years.
