MONROE - The Friends of the Monroe Public Library will host a Quiz Bowl team trivia night in April to test hometown knowledge. In a city with a storied past, strong traditions in manufacturing and farming, and so many longtime residents and businesses, there are many facts to know - and many details to trip one up.
The library is challenging the citizens of Monroe to gather a team of friends and come at 6 p.m. April 8 to the library for an evening of trivia quizzing. Having a team is not required to play, but it does make it more fun. The library will provide the food and prizes. A free-will donation is appreciated. Register by April 1 at monroepubliclibrary.org/quiz-bowl or call 608-328-7016.
The Friends of the Monroe Public Library is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the Monroe Public Library by sponsoring programs, providing funding for furnishings and other projects and volunteering in the library. It seeks to foster community support for literacy and learning by promoting the library.
