FREEPORT - The Highland Community College Foundation awarded two area high school students with scholarships aimed at helping them complete dual credit courses at the Highland West campus. Seth Carroll from Stockton High School and Michael Ambrosia from River Ridge High School are the Foundation's first dual credit scholarship recipients.
The HCC Foundation awards over $300,000 in scholarships annually; however, this will mark the first time in its history that it is helping current high school students earn college credit.
