MONROE - To participate in National Recovery Month and raise addiction awareness, F.A.I.T.H. will hold a candlelight vigil called "Lights of Hope" at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Monroe High School track.

Rev. Todd Hackman from St. John's United Church of Christ will give a short presentation followed by the candlelight vigil and time for fellowship.

The vigil is an opportunity to support loved ones in their respective stages of recovery.

Participants should bring a taper candle: a white candle for those in recovery, a red candle for those in active addiction or a black candle for those who have lost a loved one to addiction. For those attending in support of others' families, any color candle may be brought.
