EAU CLAIRE - Eric Plantenberg, Monroe, is a member of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire forensics team.
The team took fifth in team sweepstakes at the Mid-American Forensics League No. 5 held Jan. 26-27. Plantenberg, a junior, placed first in novice prose and fifth in communication analysis in the tournament.
At the Mid-American Forensics League No. 6 on Jan. 26 -27, Plantenberg placed first in communication analysis and fifth in novice prose. Plantenberg placed second in rhetorical criticism, qualifying for the American Forensics Association.
In addition to the team winning the tournament, Plantenberg, will be one of two Wisconsin representatives sent to the Interstate Oratory Contest in Madison this April. Plantenberg will be competing with other persuasive speakers for top honors.
