MONROE - The Green County Democrats and Progressives monthly meeting will be held Sunday, April 13 at Vince's Restaurant and Pizzeria, 619 4th Ave.
A social time will be held at 5 p.m., followed by a special meeting for membership at 5:30 p.m. The general meeting will begin at 6 p.m. with guest speakers Rep. Sondy Pope, 80th Assembly District, and Rep. Janis Ringhand, 45th Assembly District.
Pope will share her knowledgeable about public, voucher and charter schools and the debate over the Common Core standards, and Ringhand will summarize the final days of the legislative session.
