MONROE - To celebrate National Library Week, the Monroe Public Library and Monroe Culver's are teaming up for a month-long event. National Library Week is April 14 through April 18.

Kids between the ages of 4 and 11 can draw a picture from their favorite book. The picture can be a character, event, scene or anything else from the book. Sheets are available at the Monroe Public Library children's desk and can be returned to the librarian in the children's room.

Once the sheet is returned, participants will receive a certificate for a free single scoop of Culver's Frozen Custard in a cake cone or dish to be redeemed at participating Culver's, as well as be eligible to win a special prize in a random drawing at the library.

The Culver's promotion goes all month.

Those who participate only submit one drawing. Drawings will be posted on the wall by the children's desk.
