MONROE — A Concerts on the Square “bonus show” will offer fun in the summer during Main Street Monroe’s Maxwell Street Days.
Deals on the sidewalk from local merchants while The Red Hot Horn Dogs, one of Madison’s favorite party bands, grace the stage at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 2.
The band is well known for their high energy and their set list includes anything from Johnny Cash to Bruno Mars. Expect to hear some hits that will show off the talents of the band’s full horn section. With 10 members in the band it will be big fun, amplified.
The evening will include a salute to the Monroe High School Class of 1979, who will be hosting their 40th reunion gathering that night.
The final show of the season is Fletcher Rockwell on Aug. 16 — which is going to be Lucky Duck Night. Watch the Main Street Monroe Facebook page for some hints about what will be happening. Monroe Park and Rec Department will also host games and fun downtown for their Prince and Princess themed event that evening.
There are a few more chances to win the “Best Seat in the House” contest with premium seating on custom Adirondack chairs and a prize package including pizza from Suisse Haus, popcorn from Rainbow Confections, drink tickets from the beer stand, plus fun swag from Main Street Monroe, Heartland Graphics and Green County Cheese Days. Register at Heartland Graphics; winners drawn prior to this show and the show on Aug. 16.
Proceeds from the Beer and Wine Garden will be shared by Main Street Monroe, Green Haven and Green County Child Advocacy Center. Carry-ins not allowed for alcoholic beverages.
Your patronage of the pizza stand at Concerts on the Square helps to support the causes of Family Promise of Green County.
