Zwingli UCC to host Mardi Gras dinner with authentic foods
MONTICELLO - A Mardi Gras Dinner with authentic New Orleans cuisine will be held at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 10 in fellowship hall at Zwingli United Church of Christ, 416 E. Lake Ave.
Jambalaya and shrimp Creole will be served. Purchase tickets by Feb. 3 at the Zwingli church office.

Free transportation now offered by First Church of Christ, Scientist for services
MONROE - The First Church of Christ, Scientist, 1411 10th St., has arranged for complementary taxi rides to and from church services for anyone who needs transportation.
Call Monroe Cab Company directly at 325-6993 to arrange to be picked up.
Sunday services are at 10 a.m. and a mid-week testimony meeting is held at 7 p.m. Wednesdays. For more information about services, call 325-9220 and leave a message.

Church to host missionary speakers at Feb. 4 services
GRATIOT - Don and Teleka Dewing will be the guest speakers at the 9:15 and 10:15 a.m. services Feb. 4 at Gratiot Evangelical Free Church. "Til Every Tribe Shall Hear" will be the theme of the presentations.
The Dewings have worked with Midwest Indian Mission since 1974. Don Dewing currently pastors Lake Lucerne Gospel Chapel and Sunnyside Community Church and is director of the Mission. Teleka Dewing does all of the office work and is involved in the everyday operation of the mission.
A fellowship dinner will be held at noon.

Gratiot church plans special brunch Feb. 24
GRATIOT - A special brunch will be held for Carl and Cathy Olson at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 24 at Gratiot Evangelical Free Church. After teaching in the Christian school and helping Mexican pastors train church leaders for 14 years, Tecate Mission International members Carl and Cathy Olson began working in prison ministry in 2004. Their goal is to give Spanish-speakers the opportunity to hear the gospel in their native language. For more information on the Olsons, visit pcbeloit.org/carl-and-kathy-olson.
Ryan and Angie Schick will speak at the church services at 9:15 and 10:15 a.m. Feb. 25. The Schicks and their children are preparing to head to Honduras as missionaries. Their support level is over the 50 percent mark, their home is sold and their excitement is growing. They will be serving through World Gospel Outreach and can be contacted at ryan.schick@wgomission.org.
