The 2018 Bunker Scholarship winners were, from left: Alec Aurand, Hannah Derrickson and Tyson Welsh. Each student was awarded a $500 scholarship.

MONROE — The Bunker Scholarship recently awarded three $500 scholarships to high school graduates Alec Aurand, Hannah Derrickson and Tyson Welsh.

Aurand is the son of Darren and Monica Aurand of Lena and is a 2017 graduate of Lena-Winslow High School. He is attending Highland Community College in Freeport, majoring in physics.

Derrickson is the daughter of Jeff and Tammy Derrickson of Monroe and is a 2017 graduate of Monroe High School. She is attending Highland Community College in Freeport, majoring in nursing.

Welsh is the son of Brandon and Jodi Welsh of Monroe and is a 2018 graduate of Monroe High School. He is enrolled at the University of Dubuque, Dubuque, Iowa, majoring in physical education.
