MONROE - Red Cross Month is March and the American Red Cross will be holding blood drives in Green and Lafayette Counties.
Upcoming blood drives include:
n March 3 from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. at American Legion, 1400 Keep St. Darlington.
n March 9 from 1 to 6 p.m. at Juda High School, N2385 Spring Dr.
All blood types are needed. A blood donor card or driver's license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age or 16 with parental consent in some states, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
