BLANCHARDVILLE - River Valley Trading Company in downtown Blanchardville will host a community card-making class from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 20, at 204 S. Main St., Blanchardville.
Local artist Denise Benoit will facilitate a creative opportunity for both children and adults to create heartfelt Valentines from a variety of materials. Participants are encouraged to bring materials to use and to share, including, but not limited to paper doilies, felt, glitter, ribbon, magazine images, poems, photos, fabric, leather and beads, along with glue, scissors and other tools to use during the workshop. Workshop participants and other members of the community are also invited to display their Valentine creations, both old and new, in the gallery between Jan. 21 and Feb.13.
