BLANCHARDVILLE - Looking for a fun way to celebrate Leap Year on Feb. 29? Mineral Point's singer-songwriter Willie Sterba will be performing 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 29, at the River Valley Trading Company in Blanchardville.
Sterba has been entertaining since 1986 and has produced four CDs, in addition to the family radio program "Dancing Dog Radio" that aired for six years and was syndicated in four states. His latest CD, "Where Will I Get The Courage," was inspired by volunteer work he and his wife, Diane, participated in while in South Africa for six months.
Sterba holds a masters in education and writes songs for children as well as adults. His style is a sort of easy-folk, and his voice has been compared to James Taylor.
All of Sterba's CDs are available for sale at River Valley, and the concert is open to the public. For more information, call (608) 523-1888.
