JANESVILLE - Monroe's Blackhawk Techincal College Instructor Dusty Williams and six of his students from the Farm Business and Production Management program at the Monroe campus advanced to the national Post-Secondary Agricultural Students Organization conference next month with an outstanding performance at the state's February meeting in Appleton.
The national conference will be held March 12-15 in St. Cloud, Minn.
Area students included:
Dan Chapman, Monroe, had the high score on the individual exam and also placed first in the forestry and natural resources interview contest.
Steve Keen, Juda, placed third in the fruit and vegetable crop production interview contest.
Molly Wyss, Monroe, tied for fifth in the dairy production interview.
Boomer Detra, Monroe, was seventh in the impromptu speaking contest.
Danielle Hagen, Monroe, finished fourth out of 15 in the dairy production interviewing contest.
Williams, an instructor in the agribusiness and farm management program, was named the PAS Advisor of the Year.
