MONROE — The Monroe Arts Center will present Beth Nielsen Chapman with an opening performance by Mia Morris on March 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the Gunderson Stiles Concert Hall. Beth Nielsen Chapman concerts are notorious for making audiences laugh and cry hearing one great song after another along with some fascinating stories woven between them.
This twice Grammy-nominated Nashville based singer-songwriter has released thirteen solo albums and written seven No. 1 hits with songs recorded by Bonnie Raitt, Willie Nelson, Bette Midler, Elton John, Neil Diamond, Indigo Girls, and Faith Hill’s Mega-hit “This Kiss”, which was ASCAP’S 1999 Song of the Year. Beth was also inducted into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame in 1999.
Opening performer Mia Morris is a rock songwriter, singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist. Her musical influences are evident in her work, which include Jack White, Yungblud, CAKE, The Beatles, Fountains of Wayne and Gwen Stefani.

The fun does not end there — experience a once and a lifetime opportunity to work with a member of the Nashville Songwriting Hall of Fame. On March 26 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Beth Nielsen Chapman will be holding a Songwriting Workshop at the Monroe Arts Center. This class is for ages middle school to adult, and the registration fee is $50 per person. Registration is still open.
