Bank helps families with program

MONROE - Recently AnchorBank marked the end of its successful Adopt-A-Family program. In December, 76 branches in more than 60 Wisconsin cities chose to adopt a family in their community with the help of a local non-profit organization. This program was particularly important as Wisconsin families struggle to make ends meet, and in many cases the branches were able to help make the holiday season a little brighter for those who may have otherwise gone without.

The local AnchorBank branch in Monroe obtained a family of seven through the Monroe Christmas Stocking program, and was provided a list of items on the family's wish list. Branch employees joined the holiday season's hustle and bustle and shopped for items including clothes, toys, food, gift cards and much more.

This was the first year AnchorBank participated in an Adopt-A-Family program, and based on the success of the initiative, many employees are already looking forward to adopting a family again in 2009.
