Quilt show slated for July 13, 14

BELLEVILLE - The Belleville Chamber of Commerce and Patches and Petals will sponsor the seventh biennial quilt show Friday and Saturday, July 13 and 14, at Belleville High School, 635 W. Church St.

The event will be a judged quilt show. A merchant mall, food court and quilt appraisals will also be available.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 13, Laurie Aaron Hird will be present to sign her books.

Admission to the event is $5 at the door.

Monroe

Brat Sale to aid homeless coalition

MONROE -The third annual Brat Sale is set for 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 27 at the Wisconsin Community Bank, 1717 10th St.

The cost is $3 for a brat, soda and chips or $2 for a brat only.

All proceeds benefit Homelessness Prevention Coalition of Green County.

Monroe

Lions Club golf outing is July 30

MONROE - The Monroe Lions Club with host its 20th annual golf outing Monday, July 30 at Monroe Country Club, 2205 21st St., with a shotgun start at noon.

The cost is $80 and includes game, cart, steak dinner, raffle, hole prizes and a hole-in-one contest. The annual putting contest will also be held.

The event is a fundraiser for the local Lions chapter.

Registration and entry fees are due by Monday, July 23.

Historical society open house set

DARLINGTON - The Lafayette County Historical Society will be holding an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 7, at the Depot Museum, S. Washington St.

Model trains, railroad memorabilia and other displays will be available.

The Stump Fiddle Band will perform, and pie and ice cream will be served.

Winners for city sales named

MONROE - Two registered garage sale sellers were announced as winners of $25 Monroe Money gift certificates during the spring Monroe City-Wide Garage Sale.

The winners were Susan Knox, sale No. 20, and Glenn Willborn, sale No. 60.

The fall/pre-winter city-wide sale is scheduled for Oct. 5 and 6.
