BROOKLYN — The Brooklyn Area Historical Society annual open house will be 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 13 at Brooklyn Community Building, lower level, 109 N. Rutland. 

A presentation will be given by author Carrie Meyer. She will be talking about her book she published this year, “Letters from the Boys.”

There will be light refreshments following the presentation along with autographed books available for sale.
