MONROE — The Bel Canto Singers, directed by Allen Redford, will present their annual spring concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, at the Monroe Arts Center.  

The 12-voice New Glarus High School Jazz Choir will also be featured. The New Glarus group is directed by Renee Setterstrom, who is also the Bel Canto accompanist. 

The Bel Canto Singers have a long tradition with the Monroe Arts Center, first performing in the lovely concert hall there in 1979. In the years since, Bel Canto has grown from a small group of Monroe friends singing madrigals to an accomplished choir of almost 50 singers from a large stateline area. At the same time, the Monroe Arts Center has grown from a fledgling arts venue to a flourishing center of music, art, theater and arts education in an expanded, accessible facility.

Admission is $10 at the door. There are no advance ticket sales.
