ALBANY - Hundreds of music students from area schools will participate in a Wisconsin School Music Association-sanctioned music festival hosted at Albany High School on Saturday, Feb. 19.
During the festival, which is free and open to the public, students will perform vocal and instrumental solos, duets, trios, small ensembles and large ensembles before an adjudicator.
WSMA music festivals annually attract thousands of students from middle, junior high and high schools throughout Wisconsin. The festival will draw students from a number of area schools, including Albany High School, Albany Middle School, Argyle High School, Argyle Middle School, Barneveld High School, Barneveld Middle School, Juda High School, Juda Middle School, Monticello High School, Monticello Middle School, Pecatonica High School, and Pecatonica Middle School.
The WSMA Solo & Ensemble Festival will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011 from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM at Albany High School. Ashley Wegmueller, band director from Albany High School, will be serving as the festival manager.
