ALBANY — Find adventure at Albertson Memorial Library’s Summer Library Program, offering something for everyone and double the opportunities.
First, the in-person program will meet at the Library on Tuesdays in June and July at two different times: 10 a.m. (ages 3-6) and 1 p.m. (ages 7-12). The program features a hot-air balloon adventure visiting different states and ecosystems including balloon activities and STEM experiments. Look for special guest readers for story time.
The weekly adventure itinerary:
● June 11: A Walk in the Woods in Albany, New York
● June 18: Having a Sandy Adventure in Albany, Texas
● June 25: Home, Home on the Range in Albany, Illinois
● July 2: Up & Down the Mountain in Albany, Wyoming
● July 9: Coasting through Summer in Albany, Oregon
● July 23: It’s a Swamp thing in Albany, Louisiana
● July 30: Bonus Week — Baby It’s Cold Up There in Whitefish, Alaska
Additionally the reading challenge is open to everyone. There are four age categories: 0-6, 7-12, 13-17, and 18-plus. There are prizes for each group. Participants can use the pre-made paper logs or use the Beanstack App.
