Abe plans Family Reading Night

MONROE — Abe Lincoln Elementary School will host a family reading night of “Stories by the Campfire” from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday. 

Guests will read their favorite books and share their reading and writing experiences. 

Local author Nikki Cooper, an art teacher at St. Victor’s School and an artist with Green Chicks will read her book “Johnny McGee.” Abe Lincoln’s Mrs. Eckroat will read her latest release, “Muffin’s Shadow,” and those in attendance will get to meet the main character, Muffin the dog.

Guest can also sign up for a library card and get their photo taken with Lincoln the Lion.
