4-H youth recognized

BLANCHARDVILLE - The Green County 4-H Program held its annual awards and recognition banquet at the Pecatonica High School on Sunday, Oct. 26. Ralph Johnson, agriculture educator for the Juda School District and Dan Ziegler, agriculture educator for the New Glarus School District, were recognized as the 2008 Friends of the Green County 4-H Program.

Johnson and Ziegler have assisted the Green County 4-H Program over the years through their involvement in the community. Both served as co-chairmen for the Green County Farm Technology Days Youth Tent, assisted with Green County Fair as superintendents of the dairy and swine areas and have been involved in Green County Tractor Safety and Dairy Youth Auction Committees. Ziegler also has assisted the Green County 4-H Foods Committee as the auctioneer during their mini-revue cake auction and has emceed the master showman event at the Green County Fair. The Green County 4-H Program is proud to recognize supporters like Johnson and Ziegler for their time and efforts.
