MONROE - Members of the Green County 4-H Foods and Nutrition project participated in the annual Cake Revue event April 2 at the Green County Justice Center. Cake Revue is considered a pre-fair event of the Green County Fair and is judged by a licensed fair judge with ribbons being awarded to the youth.
Youth are divided into four levels based on grade and may take up to two items to be judged at the Cake Revue. Examples of project options this year were decorated cupcakes, 3D cakes, spring or Easter themed cakes and cake pops.
This year's participants were Devri Bennett (Cheese Country Clovers), Henry Blohowiak (Washington Center), Simon Blohowiak (Washington Center), Skye Dickson (Browntown Busy Beavers), Alayna Fiez (Next Generation), Maggie Godfrey (Dougherty Creek), Morgan Godfrey (Dougherty Creek), Emily Goers (Washington Center), Taetum Hoesly (Clarence Bridge Pioneers), Alexis Moen (Browntown Busy Beavers), Mackenzie Newton (Dougherty Creek), Michelangelo O'Brien (New Glarus), Molly Olson (Washington Center), Maggie Paul (Next Generation), Noah Rufer (Next Generation), Jenna Sherman (Washington Center), Sierra Sherman (Washington Center), Sonia Tomasiewicz (Cheese Country Clovers) and Auburn Von Kaenel (Next Generation).
