MADISON - In an effort to maintain high quality Child Care Resource & Referral services across Wisconsin, CCRR agencies and Supporting Families Together Association have moved to a regional model that will create strong collaborations between CCRRs within eight geographic regions.
As a result of these changes, Child Care Resource and Referral of South Central Wisconsin, Inc., previously serving Green, Rock and Walworth counties, has dissolved their agency. 4-C has been chosen by SFTA to be the local agency for this region of the state, which now includes, Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Green, Jefferson, Rock, Sauk and Walworth counties; and the Ho-Chunk Nation.
While there will be some additions to programs currently implemented by 4-C, there will not be any major changes with the exception of serving additional counties. 4-C will continue to provide services to families, early care providers, and the community to its newly-created eight county service delivery area.
4-C has been successfully conducting referrals for the eight county region, well before the statewide restructure.
The 4-C CACFP previously and will continue to serve 20 counties in Wisconsin, all of which include the eight county region as stated above.
4-C continues to certify in-home family day care providers in Columbia and Dane counties, and now certifies family day care providers in Walworth county as well.
Professional Development/Training: The 4-C Professional Development/Training department has begun to offer additional trainings and/or resources in the newly added Green, Rock, and Walworth counties.
4-C staff is excited about the expansion of 4-C programs and hope that it will bring greater continuity to the early care and education services offered throughout the region. For additional information on services provided by 4-C, visit www.4-c.org or call (608) 271-9181.
