A big thank you to everyone involved in this year's Monroe Arts Center 2009 Holiday Silent Auction. Many thanks to the generous donors of hundreds of items and to the bidders who took time out of their busy schedules to help support the Art Center's Holiday fundraiser.
A heartfelt thank you also goes to the committee of Eunice Brennan, Brandi Camron, Louise Christensen, Kathy Dreikosen, Rosemary Forcade, Audrey Hein, Lynn Lokken, Gary Neuenschwander, Diana Oostdik, Mary K. Schmid, Melisa Schmidt-Kjerstad, Barb Shreve and Kris Winkler; through their hard work and dedication this group shows what can be accomplished when we all work together. The auction has been a tradition for 13 years and this year over $9,000 was raised to help maintain our beautiful building and continue bringing the "Arts" to our community.
On the Friday evening of our last night of bidding, a new tradition began with a "Holiday Community Sing-Along," featuring first rate performers and a chance to sing your favorite Christmas carol. We are blessed to be surrounded by so many giving people in our community, everyone works together to help throughout the year but especially during the Holiday Season.
Another note of thanks goes to the staff of the Monroe Arts Center who work diligently so we may enjoy the great programs and exceptional art that is offered there. Please take the time to see what the Monroe Arts Center has to offer and enjoy what we have right here in our own community.
