A huge blossom to the Parkside Elementary School for large cash donations that the students and staff provided in their HELPING HANDS project and all the businesses that support them while working on this project of helping others at home and in the community. It will be used in purchasing food for the Green County Food Pantry and is greatly appreciated by those who used the services of the food pantry. - Maynard Heins, Green County Food Pantry coordinator

Blossoms to Tyler Schultz, Chuck Koch, and Scott Golackson. These gentlemen are a great example of how a clean campaign can be run. Not once did you hear derogatory comments from them regarding the other opponents. They were respectful toward each other at all times. Thank you guys for being an example to everyone. - Anonymous

A huge blossom to all those who turned out to vote in Monroe as well as to Larry Christopher III and all the other new candidates that chose to run for public office. A barb, for the incredible lack of class shown by Mr. Boyce and Mr. Hanson after losing in this week's elections. Mr. Boyce, you almost lost to a candidate who entered the race as a write-in one week prior to the elections. You didn't win convincingly, not by a long shot, and to imply that voter turnout was the reason you lost for Mayor? C'mon, a little humility please. As for Mr. Hanson, where to start? Let's go with losing the election by rustling up only 11% of the vote in your ward. Then to have the audacity to imply that your constituents are stupid, by not voting for you, and in turn want higher taxes. Well, thank you very much for your lack of respect you showed your district once again. - Rob McCarthy

Blossoms to all the Ladies of Monroe Curves, who brought almost 2,000 pounds of food for the Green County Food Pantry along with cash donations. - Karen Nufer

A big Barb to the driver of the vehicle that hit the Black and White cat on Monday, April 2 at 7:30 a.m. You didn't even slow down after the loud thump.

A Big Bouquet of Blossoms to Dr. Amy Hagen and the Monroe Veterinary Service for their professional care when we got there and for their kindness shown to use when Boots closed the Rainbow Bridge. Also a Blossom to Pay for driving us to the Veterinarians. - Mary Jo Fitzgerald

Big blossoms to St. Mary's hospital for the good care I had after my knee replacement surgery and a big blossom to New Glarus home for Rehabilation. The good care I got from the nurse, CNA and all the rest of the staff from New Glarus home. Thanks for all the visitors, flowers, and cards I received. - D.A. Holloway
