A special bouquet of blossoms to four talented young ladies who go by the name of Precocious. Their band has entertained many. From volunteering, to special events, to competitions. They recently received first place at The Wisconsin State Fair for their musical talent and stage presentation. These gals deserve a lot of credit. Great job and looking forward to hearing you at Cheese Days. - A proud aunt

A beautiful bouquet of blossoms or the Monroe pool life guards and staff. They have been awesome this summer. - Margit Asmus, Donna Bahler, Gil Oberdas, Mike and Jane Olson, and Sharon Riese

A blossom to Monroe Varsity Football Team: On Aug. 11, we assisted our daughter-in-law and son with serving the luncheon to the football players after their practice. What a pleasure it was to meet these young men and realize how courteous, thoughtful and caring every one of them is. The parents of the players can certainly be proud of their sons. Likewise, the coaches can be proud of their leadership for this team. - Ron and Roberta Moe, Albany

A barb to the Concerts on the Square board: Why not hire our local boys for an old-time music concert once or twice. Enough with all this rock and modern music. - Norma DeVoe
