Keeping the planters attractive on and off the Square involves the efforts of a lot of people. Blossoms go to the Monroe Woman's Club and others for planting and later removing the flowers and boughs. Greenco Industries did an outstanding job of watering the flowers. Most recently, blossoms go to Dan and Judy Henke for donating boughs and to the Lion's Club for cutting and delivering the boughs. A huge bouquet of blossoms to the Monroe City Band and Jane Olson for a wonderful Christmas concert. We should be so proud of the talent we have in Monroe. Also, a big Christmas blossom to Louie and Gloria Scherer for all their volunteered time and to Del Heins for his entertaining at area nursing homes and the hospital.
