MONROE — This year has been nothing short of extraordinary for the Monroe 5th grade girls basketball team. With an undefeated season of 18-0, they proved not only their athletic skill but their hard work, dedication, and team spirit. The girls’ exceptional performance throughout the season led them to clinch the BDL League Championship and, to top it all off, they triumphed in the WBCA State Championship as state champions.
Their achievement is a testament to their commitment both on and off the court. From early morning practices to late-night strategy sessions, the young athletes pushed themselves to their limits, showing tremendous growth and teamwork. Their success didn’t come easy, but the hard work they put in paid off in the best possible way.
The immeasurable pride was also felt by parents and coaches. Parents watched their daughters develop not only as players but as individuals, learning the value of teamwork, perseverance, and dedication — lessons will stay with them for years to come.
