Warriors' pep rally, parking set

SOUTH WAYNE - Black Hawk High School will hold a pep rally to send off the girls basketball team, which is bound for the WIAA state basketball tournament, at 7 p.m. tonight at the high school gym. The rally is free and open to the public.

Black Hawk plays Minong Northwood Thursday at approximately 10:45 a.m. in a Division 4 state semifinal game at the Kohl Center, Madison.

Most parking lots around the University of Wisconsin campus costs between $1 to $5. The City of Madison Campus State Street Ramp will be $1 per hour and Lot 46 will be available for the entire tournament at $5 a session. Lots 29 and 83 will also be open, depending on availability, and will cost $5.

The Alliant Energy Center will also have a park-and-ride service. It is $5.50 to park in the Alliant parking lot and a round-trip bus ticket is an extra $5. A one-way ticket is $3. The pick-up point in the Alliant parking lot will be near Barn 2 on Fairgrounds Drive. Street parking is free around the Kohl Center in available spots.

Monroe's girls team also qualified for state and will play Winneconne at 1:35 p.m. Friday, in a Division 2 semifinal. Should either Monroe or Black Hawk win, the state championships will be played Saturday afternoon with Division 4 slated to start at noon and Division 2 at 6:30 p.m.
