BRODHEAD - The Cardinals (7-0 Rock Valley) demolished Beloit Turner (0-7) in RVC action, 25-10, 25-11, 25-5.
Kristen Ruchti had 13 kills, five aces and a block. Courtney Mielke had eight kills, Cassie Wymer had 33 assists and three aces, Amanda Johnson had three digs, and Jordan Riese and Mariah Mohns each added a block in the win for Brodhead.
The Cardinals travel to Clinton next Tuesday.
Darlington 3, Boscobel 2>
The host Redbirds (1-8 SWAL) pulled out their first conference win of the season over one-win Boscobel (1-8) in five games, 18-25, 20-25, 25-21, 25-17, 15-7.
Courtney McBee had eight kills and six aces to pace Darlington. Teammate Whitney Hardyman had six aces and dished out nine assists, Paige Champion had nine assists, Cassie Fink had five digs and Kassara Kirker had four blocks for the Redbirds.
Darlington hosts Riverdale next Thursday.
Barneveld 3, Monticello 0>
The Ponies on Thursday gave host Barneveld a run for its money, but fell short 3-0. The hosts won the first game 25-18 and then held on in a close second game, 26-24. Game three went Barneveld's way 25-17.
The Ponies look to get back on track Tuesday when they host Black Hawk.
