MONROE - Larry Tefertiller's 220 strokes were five less than any other men's golfer that took to the fairways in last weekend's Green County Open at Monroe Country Club.
Brenda Miller edged Rocky Indergand with 182 strokes to Indergand's 185 in the women's top flight, split between the club and Edelweiss Chalet in New Glarus.
Herb Hanson won the senior division, played at both the Country Club and Decatur Lakes in Brodhead, by the narrowest of margins with 142 shots with Norm Whitehead placing runner-up with 143.
Larry Green's 237 shots won the men's first flight, Brian Brugger won the second with 247, Dave Flynn's 263 won the third and Herb Hanson won the fourth with 288.
Carol Collins' 202 strokes easily won the women's first flight.
