Squirt B team finishes second

MONROE - The Monroe Avalanche finished second in the four-team Squirt B Hockey Tournament at SLICE over the weekend.

The Avalanche rolled to a 3-0 victory against Stoughton in its Friday opener, with Luke Kuberski scoring all three goals and goaltender Jayden Johnson recording the shutout with help from defensemen Kaiden Klitzke, Roman Bauer, Alex Henry and Kendall Wild.

On Saturday, Camden Steinmann and Broc Kuberski recorded hat tricks as the Avalanche beat Viroqua 9-1. Charlie Harris, Luke Kuberski and Bryce Montgomery also had goals. Steinmann added two assists, while Broc Kuberski, Alex Henry and Ethan Williams also had helpers.

Verona won Sunday's title game 2-0.
