Six Rivers postseason honors announced

The Six Rivers East announced its 2009 baseball all-conference list, and Pecatonica was awarded with five total nods.

Senior pitcher's Milton Kurschner and Lee Vlasak each were named to the first team, as was junior infielder Devin Jeglum. Fellow Vikings seniors Harley Demler and Jake Rindy made the honorable mention list.

Argyle senior catcher Kevin Berg and outfielder Andy Bohlman each were named to the first team. Cole Jordan and Matt Cash were honorable mention for the Orioles.

Albany also had four players honored. Senior outfielder Brandon Pfeuti and infielder Mike Elmer were given first-team honors, and Tyler Bauman and Tyler Briggs were honorable mention selections.

Monticello seniors Brandon Holz (pitcher) and Casey Klossner (infield) also were named to the first team, and sophomore teammate Tyler Ritschard was honorable mention.

Juda's Beau Benner (utility) was the only Panther named to the first team. Steven West and Jacob Ramos were given honorable mention nods.

Black Hawk's Shane Jackson was named to the honorable mention list.

Barneveld led the nominations, with six total, despite finishing second in the conference race. Five Eagles were named to the first team.

Pecatonica won the conference with an 11-1 record. Barneveld was second at 9-3 after losses to the Vikings, Panthers and Ponies.
