Redbirds fall, Ponies grab win

DARLINGTON - Platteville pulled away with a monster second half, outscoring Darlington by 13 points and grabbing a road win Tuesday, 57-41.

Donovan Blevins scored a game-high 17 for Platteville and teammate Isaiah Oswald added 13. Carter Lancaster led Darlington with 13 points, and Tony Ruesga finished with 11.

Platteville (5-2) led 23-20 at halftime. Darlington (4-2) travels to Riverdale (0-6) Friday.



Monticello 72, Belmont 38

BELMONT - Reece Rufer had 17 points as the Ponies galloped away from Belmont Tuesday. Joining Rufer in double digits for Monticello were Jon Errthum with 13 points and Braden Gafner with 12.

Zach Schaller scored 7, and Andrew Eyler, Travis McCoy and Jeffrey Ace each had 6 for the Ponies. Colin Austin had 17 for Belmont.

Monticello led 33-14 at halftime.

The next game for the Ponies will be Dec. 28 at Cambridge. Six Rivers East Conference play resumes for Monticello (2-5, 1-2) Jan. 5 at Barneveld (2-4, 2-0).
