Track and Field: >Six individuals from the Cheesemaker boys squad qualified for today's WIAA Division 2 sectional in Boscobel with their performances Monday in Clinton. The Lady Cheesemakers won their side of the regional.
Soccer (6-7-1): >Monroe's 3-1 non-conference victory over Evansville on Monday evening will only matter if the Cheesemakers can duplicate the feat Thursday on the Blue Devils' home pitch as WIAA Division 2 regional play opens.
Tennis: >With two victories in Wednesday's WIAA Division 2 UW-Whitewater sectional, Monroe's No. 1 duo of Matt Turek and Levi Janssens earned a state tournament berth. With a title in No. 3 doubles, the No. 1 team's third place, and a second-place finish at No. 4 singles, the Cheesemakers placed third as a team.
Golf: >Despite struggling across the board during Tuesday's WIAA Division 2 regional, the Cheesemakers grinded out 343 strokes, good for fourth place at Monroe Country Club to make next Wednesday's Mayville sectional.

New ace deals Cards into finals: >Freshman Erika Stampfli pitched a two-hitter in a 3-0 victory over Rock Valley rival Edgerton in Tuesday's WIAA Division 2 regional semifinals.
Something to be upset about: >Both No. 4 Argyle and No. 3 Monticello beat the higher seeds in their WIAA Division 4 semifinal games in prolific fashion. The Orioles won a 21-13 slugfest against top-seeded Barneveld, and the Ponies outlasted No. 2 Black Hawk, 5-2, in 10 innings.
