MONROE - Ten area players were recently named to the 2014 Six Rivers East All-Conference baseball team, with multiple players making repeat appearances.

Seniors Lucas McKeon (pitcher) and Tyler Hodgson (outfield) were two of Pecatonica's four first-team selections. McKeon was a first-team selection a year ago, while Hodgson was an honorable-mention selection in 2013. Also garnering first-team honors for Pecatonica included junior Drew Schliem at infield and sophomore Brooks Chandler, who was designated as a utility player. Schliem also earned first-team accolades last year.

Both Albany and Argyle had two first-team selections each. For Albany, senior Mitchell Kauk made a repeat appearance as an outfielder. Named honorable mention as an infielder last year, Albany sophomore Tyler Dahl earned first-team recognition at the position for the 2014 season.

Argyle's Alec Treuthardt and Kyle Olson made return appearances on the first-team at both pitcher and infield, respectively. The Orioles advanced all the way to the sectional championship of this year's playoffs before a loss to top-seeded Lake Country Lutheran ended their postseason run.

Ending his prolific high school career, Monticello's Lucas Marty was designated as a repeat selection as a utility player, while Black Hawk junior Tayler Rupnow also made the first team as a utility player after earning honorable-mention honors last year.

Earning honorable mention nods were Kyle Kleppe, A.J. Hendrickson, and Chase Norton for Pecatonica; Collin Argue for Argyle; Logan Crooks for Monticello; and Brady Meythaler for Black Hawk.

Barneveld's Carson Carmody earned Player of the Year honors, while his coach Lance Schmitz was tabbed as the Coach of the Year.
