SALT LAKE CITY - Colin Burns, formerly of Monroe, is the 2014 National Champion in the 94 kilogram division of weightlifting.
Burns won gold Sunday at the 2014 USA Weightlifting National Championships in Salt Lake City with a snatch of 167 kilograms (368 pounds) and a clean and jerk of 192 kilograms (423 pounds) for a total of 359 kilograms (approximately 791.5 pounds).
