MONROE - The Monroe Blues adult full-check hockey team dropped a 4-2 decision to the Fox Cities Ice Dogs on Saturday at SLICE.
Monroe scored 49 seconds into the game but Fox Cities scored the next two goals. The Blues scored again early in the third period but gave up another goal with a minute to play after pulling their goalie.
Brad Gicopoulos and Tim Tarvis each scored a goal for Monroe. Ian Schachti, Drew Komplin, Cudy Hurd and Gottlieb Brandli III each had an assist. Goalie John Marquardt made 48 saves.
The Blues will have games at SLICE at 8 p.m. tonight against the West Bend Bombers and at 1 p.m. Saturday against the Portage Lake Pioneers.
