EDGERTON — With a three set loss (25-20, 25-19, 25-23) to Edgerton on Tuesday, Oct. 3, Brodhead head fell to 5-3 in conference — one game behind leaders Edgerton and Big Foot.
Addison Yates led the Cardinals with 16 kills and three aces. Karli Krumwiede also had three aces. Paityn Kail and Jaelyn Hilliard shared setting duties with 19 and 10 assists, respectively.
At press time, Brodhead has two games left in conference — Big Foot (6-2) and Evansville (3-5). Meanwhile Big Foot has to play Brodhead and Turner (4-4) and Edgerton plays Turner and Clinton (0-8).
DELAVAN-DARIEN 3, MONROE 0
MONROE — The Comets beat the Cheesemakers 25-22, 28-26, 25-19 on Tuesday, Oct. 3. Monroe has two games left against Jefferson and Clinton. Jefferson beat Monroe 3-1 earlier this season, while Monroe recently defeated Clinton in its home invite last Saturday.

MAZOMANIE — The Knights beat the Vanguards 25-23, 25-22, 26-24 on Tuesday, Oct. 3. Senior setter Alice Neton subbed in to serve in set three, down 24-22, and lead New Glarus to the win. Lindsey Schadewalt paced the offense with 20 kills and four aces. Veronica Tollakson chipped in six kills with 13 assists. Carrah Bainbridge dug out 14 attacks with four aces.
DARLINGTON 3, RIVERDALE 0
DARLINGTON — The Redbirds beat the Chieftains 25-14, 25-7, 25-19 on Tuesday, Oct. 3. Aubrey McCarthy and Maddie Gratz led the offense with seven kills each. When she wasn’t attacking, McCarthy distributed the offense with 13 assists. Of the 10 Redbird aces, Lilly Ritchie accounted for four of them. Defensively, Zoie Zuberbuhler and Sadie Goebel kept rallies alive with 19 and 10 digs, respectively.
ALBANY 3, ARGYLE 0
ALBANY — The Comets swept the Orioles 25-10, 25-17, 25-22 on Tuesday Oct. 3. Alana Durtschi led Albany with 12 kills and three blocks. She also chipped in 12 digs. Avary Briggs and Anna Ellinger tallied six kills each. Myah Johnson and Ellie Modaff split the setting duties with 18 and five assists, respectively. Allison Rhyner paced the Comet defense with 23 digs, followed by Briggs with 19.
For Argyle, Kylie Butler led the offense with 10 kills, while Ava Wiegel distributed the attacks with 16 assists. Mya McNett and Sadie Steiner contributed 19 and 18 digs, respectively. McNett and Brooke Wellnitz registered two aces each.
In other local volleyball, Monticello swept Black Hawk.
