NEW GLARUS — For the first time since the 2020-21 season, New Glarus High School hosted a wrestling meet, with the home Raiders defeated the visiting Vikings 57-12.
Although it was the first meet of the season, Sugar River honored its seniors — Alex Zielinski, Carson Loshaw, Mason Mau and Isaac Erb.
The Raiders earned 42 points via forfeit, as the Vikings filled just six weight classes. Pecatonica-Argyle’s 12 points came from Aidan Gruenenfelder, a Division 3 state runner-up last season, and Lukas Rue.
